The Chief and Council of Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek recognize the importance of education and training and are continually striving to find quality educational programs and training opportunities that will enhance skills and compliment employment goals. BNA works in conjunction with Anishinaabek Employment and Training Services (www.aets.org) and Seven Generations Educational Institute (www.7generations.org) to satisfy some of these needs. Both of these venues provide job readiness training and educational courses. Their websites have up-to-date programs and training initiatives and information on how to apply. When various training and education programs arise with either one of these organizations, the members of BNA are informed via newsletters and are invited to apply.

Confederation College (www.confederationc.on.ca) and Lakehead University (www.lakeheadu.ca) are other avenues that can be explored by the BNA members, who are looking to further their education. Both facilities have Indigenous Support Services that can help with the transition into studies at their facility. Both facilities offer a wide variety of cultural events that create a welcoming and engaging environment with a wide range of courses to choose from.
