Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Procurement Specialist (Construction/Hydro).

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, this position is responsible to plan, execute and co‑ordinate technically complex procurement assignments for various goods and services, including engineered products, technical services, construction services, and EPCM work through all phases of the procurement process, from strategy development to on‑time delivery. The Senior Procurement Specialist leads competitive sourcing activities, evaluates and develops supplier options, prepares RFX documentation, assesses proposals, negotiates commercial and technical terms, and ensures all regulatory and jurisdictional requirements are met.

The role oversees supplier quality and procurement plans, schedules and coordinates surveillance and oversight activities, and reviews claims, progress payments, and escalation requests. As a key resource to internal clients and vendors, the Specialist provides guidance on Supply Chain governance, policies, and quality expectations, supports vendor QA program development, and assesses supplier performance to enable safe, reliable, and value‑focused outcomes for construction and hydro projects across the organization.

AETS operates in conjunction with the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Agreement to support the Indigenous Skills and Employment Strategy between Service Canada and the Anishinabek.

You are sincere in your passion to assist in the development of a skilled Indigenous workforce, through the provision of individual and community-based employment and training initiatives. You have demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service skills and excel at embracing diversity while establishing rapport with clients.
